Dean the owner comes from a long line of pub owners, fourth generation to be exact. The Windward Pub opened its door in 1983 with two sister pubs located on Vancouver Island. How about the fact that the Windward Pub was the first pub in Nanaimo to introduce the all famous “wing nite”. I may also add that we still continue this wing nite craze twice a week.
